Unlike Channel Nine, the Dropkicks are not afraid of women in sports (or anywhere really). From participating to broadcasting to mouthing off at the pub women are just as capable as men.

As such the Dropkicks are looking for a woman to join the team.

Applicants will need to:

  1. Live in Wellington. Sorry it’s where we do the cast from.
  2. Have a good knowledge of sports both local and worldwide. But not too good a knowledge, just at least as good as ours…i.e. can make stuff up if needed.
  3. Be funny, or be able to enjoy a good laugh (and be able to put up with your favourite sports team being made fun of)
  4. Put up with us and our inane banter, while having the ability to create your own (see point 2)
  5. Have one night a week free to record the cast (usually a Monday)

If you think that you might be interested in joining our dynamic and energetic team then send us an email and we’ll be in touch.

RugbyBlips: vote it up!

loving the equality push fellas =)

Thanks, shame about point 1 ay?

Damn! #1 kicks me out of the running real fast. Live in Austin, TX...would LOVE to play rugby internationally though!

Have you considered an co-host skyping in from a remote location? It's done a lot in other podcastsn and only requires a decent internet connection.

We would but we podcast from various places and internet is not always easily accessible. Also our thing is to sit around together drinking and jawing about sport. It wouldn't be the same vibe if one person was on the phone.

you can rest assured that i'll be gatecrashing when i finally get myself to wellington though :)
